We are delighted to announce the appointment of Joe Kitchen as our new Operations Director. Joe holds pedigree qualifications, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, a first-class Bachelor of Science (BSc) honours degree in engineering management, and professional qualifications in project management and health and safety. He also brings a wealth of know-how to the business, with over 15 years’ experience in lean implementation, continuous improvement and project, manufacturing, and operations management.
Before joining the company, Joe held management positions across a number of Magnomatics’ biggest serviceable industries, including automotive, aerospace and energy generation. He has also worked at an international level, having served as a Senior Management Consultant and Head of Operational Excellence in his most recent role at Siemens Gamesa. Given Magnomatics’ long history in developing innovative solutions across a wide spectrum of market sectors, including electric vehicles, aerospace, renewables and marine propulsion, Joe’s multi-industry experience will be invaluable to the company.
Joe’s background is one of operational accountability and leadership. He has experience in driving transformational change across a wide range of settings, including diverse product volume and complexity, as well as process automation, regulation, and maturity. Furthermore, he has an understanding of leading large teams and delivering change projects at a strategic and tactical level. These he has achieved through first-hand utilisation of improvement methodologies – key approaches he also embedded in the workforce through coaching and up-skilling. At Magnomatics, we believe these assets will be pivotal in driving innovation and development across the entire business.
